Over the last few years as ET has been slowly disappearing, I have noticed that the forums haven't been as busy. What's missing? The debates we always seem to have. Where is Sailfast, Avery, and Undertaker when you need them? I miss the day's of the heated debates we have had, over the US government, Religion, and so on.

So with that being said, what is the opinion of the government right now. Me, I'm ready for a new president that will live up to all his promises. Obama hasn't lived up to hardly any of his. The troops are still in Iraq, (Obama said he would have them back home in 25 months into his first term, now he is winding down his second term) instead he sent more into Iraq. His grand plan for a "free healthcare" is finally starting, but it is far from "free".

I could go on, but I think that should be a good start.

Whats your opinion? smile49

The sad part, I think I was more aware of what was going on in the world when I was in school... and wasn't as affected by it. Work kills and I am now realizing that you fight each day to make your business successful.. I don't think we will ever get the president that everyone is happy with and that we can like. Everyone has their flaws no matter who they are... which sucks.

Your getting soft in your old age Avery. Go for the throat. Obama will be crowned King, veganism will be law, education will be free for as long as you stay in school, and you will need a license to reproduce. smile49

Obama has been flat out AWFUL. What has the administration done during his time other than bail out large corporation banks which turned out to them paying all their CEOs big bonuses before they failed anyways? I can't recall a SINGLE good thing that happened other than May 2, 2011.. the death of Bin Ladin... and that was a Marine and the CIA that got him, not Obama.

How can anyone earning Minimum Wage vote Republican?
Not only do they not want to raise it, but talk they are trying to eliminate a Minimum wage and let companies pay people what they want. (that sure won’t work)

How can any Women vote Republican?
Have turned down all proposals for Equal pay for Women and creating laws on how and what they can do with their bodies.

How can anyone that is Gay vote Republican?
Working hard to deny any rights for Same Sex couples.

How can anyone without a job vote Republican?
Speak out loudly about how Obama is not doing enough to reduce the unemployment rate. But they don’t want you to think about how they have voted down every job bill and have done nothing to create jobs themselves.

How can any Veteran vote Republican?
The talk about supporting the Military but work hard at blocking the Comprehensive Veterans Health and Benefits and Military Retirement Pay Restoration Act of 2014. They made a big point of saving money by cutting Food Stamps, while thousands of Enlisted Military people relied on that to feed their families.

Now that I have stirred the pot, there is an ongoing effort to limit the term limit of all members of Congress.

Article 5 of the US Constitution gives us the opportunity to impose Term Limits on the US Congress WITHOUT their approval. When 34 States request a Convention for a specific topic, an Article 5 Convention is called. At the Convention the Amendment is presented. Once ratified by 38 States, it becomes part of the US Constitution, without requiring the approval of the US Congress.

To accomplish this task is going to take a monumental effort. The magnitude of a national, grassroots effort will require dedication, perseverance, and a well-planned, strategic effort.

Some may look at the date that we are targeting and feel that it is not soon enough. Make no mistake, putting together teams across all 50 states and as many counties as possible is a huge task and will present quite a challenge in the amount of time allotted. The better coordinated and prepared we are by May 26th, 2014, the higher our chances of succeeding.

OUTLINE
1. Make people aware that the option exists.
2. Become educated on the topic.
3. Create the Amendment.
4. Strategize and coordinate our efforts.

See, I don't fall under any of the Dave. I make more than minimum wage in any state even only being 22. I'm for sure not a female, nor gay. Not a veteran.. that's not why I vote Republican though. Where my social aspects nearly fall under what democrats push, I'm more conservative on the financial aspect and really would just like to stop giving people my money that don't even try for theirs. Or stop funding people to keep coming here illegally and taking jobs and money from tax payers. So you may add to your list, how could anyone that is tired of dealing with giving their crap away vote democrat? smile200
