If you change some of your info on your profile, IE email addy etc...your account will DEACTIVE and alert me that someone has done this. This is a security measure to ensure that someone doesnt start changing your passowrd or email etc...

Just send me an email to sippenhaft@comcast.net and let me know you made the change so I can look for the reactivation notification. I will then reactivate your account and youll be all set.

Thanks

DaveSR brought it to my attention that it apppears he cant change his info.

He SHOULD be able to, however I am still learning the permission crap with this new version of phpbb.

Soooo, if you KNOW how to change your info, please post it...if you CANT change your info let me OR techie-micheal know so we can look into the settings.

There will probably be a few more weeks of little settings tweaks that need to be done, so PLEASE keep letting us know if you cant or dont know how to do something! [smilie=ok.gif]

Sorry Sipp - My mistake.

While you are "still learning the permission crap with this new version of phpbb" there is a "learning" curve for us using it also. Sat down and looked around and found everything in a different area.

If you select the "User Control Panel" on the top you get several options. Look at the picture and you will see where the 'profile' is hidden. Well it wasn't hidden, but I didn't see it - must be tunnel vision - looked for it in only one location and didn't see it. So it must be broke. [smilie=1_18.gif]

Appears to be working ok. Thanks for looking

Too bad it can't just disable the account, send an email verification to the email address you configure in your account for activation, and then authorize the change off of that rather than you having to worry about reauthing people.

It had to do with the way the account authorization worked in 2.0. If you set it for admin authorization, it didn't take that in to account for editing the account once registered. 3.0 should (seems it does). Call it a bug with 2.0 if you want.
