Well... you are actually dealing with two different things here. One is download/upload speed, and the other is latency (essentially, the time it takes for two computers to say "hello"). Your 49-52 is the latency part, where you still need to check on the connection (download/upload) speed by contacting your service provider.

I just checked my ping again. And it seems to be getting better. Before you ask, I have done nothing to it yet, since the last time I did it.

Ping is worse, however the download speed is about 3x better
