Can you add a button so I can click it and view the status log?
Sometimes I would like to read a few lines of the log and can only see the one line. Maybe add a button so if I click it, it will open the entire log for me to look at...or a certain number of lines I can set somewhere?

Just click the "Update Status Log..." button (the right most button on the main GUI) - it will open a screen exactly as you describe. Then just close it by hitting the ESC key or clicking the close button without entering an update.
